オランダの港町ロッテルダムで、かつて「王室御用達」の称号を授かっていた名門ショコラトリー、A. Driessen（ドレッセン）。
こちらは1920年代〜1940年代頃に作られた、彼らの代表作「Carro（キャロ）」のためのチョコレート缶です。

蓋に描かれているのは、当時詰められていたチョコレートそのままの姿。整然と並ぶタイルのようなデザインは、アール・デコ期の潔い美しさを感じさせます。
本体には「N.V. Cacao & Chocolaadfabrieken A. Driessen」という当時の社名が刻印されており、オランダの豊かなチョコレート文化の黄金期を今に伝えています。

古い洋書やドライフラワーと一緒に棚に飾るだけでも、空間に奥行きが生まれます。

※蓋はしっかりと閉まっており、やや難しいですがコツを掴めば開閉できるかと思います。
