フランスの古い薬局の棚に、ひっそりと並んでいたであろうアンティークの薬瓶です。

パリ近郊の街、Melun(ムラン)に拠点を置いた製薬協同組合のラベルが、今もなお美しい状態で残っています。

深く、温かみのある琥珀色のガラスは、光を透かすと何とも言えない幻想的な表情を見せてくれます。経年変化によって少し煤けたような質感のコルク栓、そして「BÉTOL（サリチル酸ナフトール）」と記されたタイポグラフィの美しさは、現代のプロダクトにはない、凛とした静寂を纏っています。

中身：BÉTOL (Salicylate de Naphtol / サリチル酸ナフトール)
19世紀後半から20世紀初頭にかけて、主に「腸内の殺菌剤」や「リウマチの治療」として処方されていた化学物質です。当時は最先端の医薬品でした。

かつては人々の健やかな暮らしを支えていた一瓶。
時が止まったかのようなその姿は、棚に置くだけでその場所を特別な空間へと変えてくれるはずです。
