1862年創業の老舗香水メーカー「ROGER&GALLET(ロジェガレ)」のパウダーボックスです。

蓋に描かれた「VELOUTÉ DE LIS」の文字は装飾されたデザインが大変素敵です。
VELOUTÉは「ビロードのような」LISは「百合の花」の意味。
柔らかで繊細なユリのパウダーが入っていたようですね。側面に貼られたPARIS 1889-1900 GRAND PRIX グランプリシールも、優れた品である証。

蓋はスムーズに開け閉めができ、中はほんのりとお化粧品の香りがします。

色味は全体的に可愛らしい水色ですが、蓋の方が色褪せが進んでいるようです。
文字は白に近い銀色です。光の当たり方によって文字が見えづらかったり、くっきり見えたりと、いろんな見え方をします。
