フランスより入荷しました、1746年創業の老舗手芸糸メーカー「DOLLFUS-MIEG & C ドルフュス・ミエッグ＆カンパニー（DMC社）」の糸巻き入り紙箱です。

1961年にティリエズ＆カルティエ・ブレッソンと合併し、「DMC」のロゴは馬のマークとなりますが、そのマークもなく、前身であると言われるベルのロゴもないことから更に前の年代のものであると思われます。

綺麗な状態のデッドストック糸がたっぷり入っています。
紙箱は蓋にエンボス模様があしらわれており、真ん中にはDMCのロゴと文字が金彩で描かれています。
