美しい草花の手書きの絵が、バランスよく見事に描かれたモシュリンヌの小さな木箱。
こちらは切手用のもの。「souvenir de capestang」南仏のカプタングという街の名前が書かれており、手のひらサイズで可愛らしいお品。

モシュリンヌとは、スコットランドの小さな村の名で、19世紀初頭、お土産用にすずかげの木（少なくなってからはオリーブの木）で丁寧に作られた木製の小物はモシュリンヌウエアと呼ばれています。1933年以降作られておらず、希少価値が高くコレクターも多いアイテム。

細かな傷、シミはありますが、艶やかで木味がよく、金具もしっかりついていて状態良好です。

※もともと、中は切手が取り出しやすいように斜めに板があったようですが左右どちらも取れています。
