フランスの蚤の市で見つけた、1900〜1920年代頃のアンティーク・ホーロー看板です。
文字を読み取ると、パリ近郊のノワジー＝ル＝セックにあった建築会社「カミーユ・ニコラ（Camille Nicolas）」が、かつてその門や壁に掲げていた本物の街の歴史の一部とわかります。

深みのある鮮やかなブルーの地色に、立体的に焼き付けられた白い文字が美しく浮かび上がります。
四隅には壁に取り付けるためのオリジナルの穴が開いています。

経年による表面の掠れや錆び、背面の質感など、長い年月を経て育まれたアンティークならではの味が、空間に圧倒的な存在感とヨーロッパの空気感をもたらしてくれます。
