フランスより入荷しました、19世紀末頃(ベル・エポック期)のシュガーシフタースプーンです。

このお品物は、18世紀後半から19世紀にかけて、フランスの貴族やブルジョワジーの食卓で愛された非常に優雅なカトラリーです。その繊細な透かし彫りは、単なる装飾ではなく「砂糖を均一に振りかける」という実用的な機能美を備えています。

当時のフランスでは、砂糖は非常に高価な贅沢品でした。大切なお客様を招いたティータイム、ベリー系のフルーツや温かいデザートに、まるで粉雪を降らせるように砂糖をまぶす、そんな贅沢で詩的な儀式のために作られたのが、このシフタースプーンです。

ボウル部分に施された、光を通す星のようなパンチング（穴あき）加工。美しい幾何学模様は、砂糖がダマにならず、美しく舞い落ちるよう緻密に計算されています。

ハンドルにはアカンサスの葉やリボンなど、ルイ16世様式を思わせるクラシカルな装飾が立体的に彫り込まれています。
