フランスより入荷しました、ローラースタンプです。
かつてフランスの書斎やアトリエで、紙やレースの端に優雅な唐草模様を走らせていた装飾用ローラー。長い年月を経てインク含みのローラー部分は硬く色づき、実用という役割を終え、今はただそこに置くだけで絵になる「歴史の結晶」のような佇まいへと変化しました。

19世紀末から20世紀初頭、手紙やクロスに彩りを添えるために職人が手にしたこの道具には、実用性を超えた装飾美が宿っています。精巧な彫刻が施された木製のローラースタンプ、使い込まれて深い艶を放つ黒い木製ハンドル。それら全てが、当時の豊かな美意識を今に伝えています。

ややひっかかりを感じますが、コロコロと転がすことができます。
また、スタンプをとめているネジは硬いですが外すことができます。お持ちのスタンプのサイズが合えば、交換することも可能です。(インク台部分は経年劣化で固くなっているので実用はできません)
